October 7, 2011Three Consigli Projects Win Prestigious AGC Build New England Awards
BOSTON, MA – Consigli Construction Co., Inc. received three prestigious awards at the Associated General Contractors’ (AGC) Build New England Awards Gala held last night at the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston. The only construction firm to be recognized with three awards in this program, Consigli received Honor Awards for the Cambridge Public Library Restoration and Expansion and Rockport Music’s Shalin Liu Performance Center, as well as a Performance Award for the University of Massachusetts Ambulatory Care Center.
The project team taking home an Honor Award for the Cambridge Public Library Restoration and Expansion included Consigli Construction, in joint venture with J. F. White Contracting Company and design team William Rawn Associates, Inc. (Lead Architect) with Ann Beha Architects (Associate Architect/Historic Building Architect) and the City of Cambridge.
The Shalin Liu Performance Center project team, including Consigli Construction, Epstein Joslin Architects and Rockport Music with project manager Design Technique, Inc. also received an Honor Award for the new 330-seat concert hall in Rockport, Massachusetts.
The Design/Build team of Consigli Construction and Payette, along with PMA Consultants, and the University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Health Care, received a Performance Award for the UMass Medical School Ambulatory Care Center (ACC).
Since 1981, the AGC of Massachusetts has held a juried awards program every other year to recognize outstanding teams of owners or developers, primary design firms, contractors and key subcontractors for their collaborative efforts toward the successful completion of the project. Based in Wellesley, Massachusetts, the AGC of Massachusetts is a construction trade association representing leading construction and subcontracting firms that perform the majority of the commercial and institutional building construction in Massachusetts. Professional service firms are also an integral part of the AGC, including architects, engineers, building owners, accountants, attorneys, insurance companies and construction suppliers.
