Consigli Named a “Top Place to Work” by The Boston Globe for the Eighth Year in a Row

MILFORD, MA – For the eighth year in a row, Consigli Construction Co., Inc. has been named one of the “Top Places to Work” in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe.

“We work in a tough but rewarding industry that is constantly changing and on the move,” said President Matthew Consigli. “For us to be successful we first have to win in the workplace and that starts with our talented employees. This award recognizes their commitment to making Consigli a dynamic, fun and exciting place to work every day. Our employees give each other the support and flexibility they need to grow both personally and professionally and we’re proud of their dedication to making Consigli a Top Place to Work.”

The Globe’s research partner, WorkPlaceDynamics, ranks 125 Massachusetts employers by analyzing employee responses to a 24-question survey submitted between April and June. The confidential survey covers several different factors like benefits, management and employee engagement.

“Top Places to Work” recognizes the most admired workplaces in the state voted on by employees. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement. The employers are placed into one of four groups: small, with 50 to 99 employees; medium, with 100 to 249 workers; large, with 250 to 999; and largest, with 1,000 or more.

The health and well being of its employees is paramount to Consigli. In 2016, Consigli offered its employees a free gym membership, breakfast every morning, discount memberships at BJ’s Wholesale Club, free flu shots and wellness screenings.

Consigli also hosted a number of work outings including an employee golf tournament, a Women’s Build volunteer event with Habitat for Humanity, a Halloween haunted house for company families and the annual holiday party.

Additionally, the Milford headquarters is expanding. Next year, a brand new, state-of-the-art second building will open next door increasing collaborative work and meeting spaces.
