Consigli Opens New Campus Expansion at Milford Headquarters

MILFORD, MA – Today, Consigli Construction Co., Inc. opened Granite Building 2 (GB2) at its headquarters in Milford. CEO Anthony Consigli and President Matthew Consigli were joined at the celebration by Rep. Brian Murray (D-Milford) and several Town of Milford officials. Built in just nine months, GB2 houses the company’s pre-construction, project services, purchasing and estimating divisions. It is also home to the company’s virtual reality room and building information modeling team.

“This new building represents Consigli’s continued, steady growth as one of the largest construction companies in the Northeast,” said CEO Anthony Consigli. “We hope GB2 shows our commitment to growing here in Milford. We’d like to thank Rep. Brian Murray and all of the Milford officials for their support and leadership to make this day possible.”

“We are excited to expand our headquarters in Milford.  As we continue to build upon our 112- year legacy, this new space is a reflection of the investment in our great people, and in the great community where it all began,” says President Matthew Consigli. “Inside this building, we’re working on some of the most high-profile projects throughout the Northeast, while using the most cutting-edge technology in our industry, and with the absolute best people in the business.”

“Milford is both proud and fortunate to continue to serve as the home of Consigli,” said Rep. Murray. “Known for its willingness to contribute generously to local, charitable causes, Consigli now has a remarkably beautiful campus which combines the heritage of the original Milford Pink Granite school building with a state of the art technology expansion building.”

The two story, 16,000 square-foot, steel-structured GB2 was completed in just nine months. The exterior walls are prefabricated, insulated and waterproofed wall panels that were installed varying in size from 7 feet to 16 feet. The exterior cladding of the building is composed of three different types of fiber-cement panels.

The energy generated by the rooftop panels on both Granite Building 1 and GB2 is enough to cover each building’s electricity costs – effectively making the building 100 percent solar powered. GB2 also features large fixed windows throughout for maximum daylighting and that allow for greater whole-building heating and cooling efficiency.

With a focus on employee health and comfort, furnishings for all employees in GB2 are new ergonomic chairs and adjustable height, powered lift-top desks that raise to standing height. One of the seven new conference spaces houses virtual reality (VR) equipment for exploring 3D models of some our marquee projects.
