ANTHONY CONSIGLI
PRESIDENT
Since becoming president of the company in 1994, Anthony Consigli has developed into a recognized leader in the New England construction industry. Through his vision and stewardship, Consigli has evolved from a small general contractor to a 300 person organization with annual revenues in excess of $200 million.
Beyond Consigli, Anthony serves on the Board of Directors for the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts, the Knox Trail Council for the Boy Scouts of America, the Higgins Armory Museum and Workshop, and Preservation Massachusetts.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Harvard University, where he was a member of the football team. Upon his graduation in 1989, he joined the company started by his great grandfather in 1905. At the age of 27 he became the fourth generation of his family, along with his brother Matthew, to lead the firm.

JIM HERVOL
PROJECT EXECUTIVE
Jim brings over 29 years of engineering and management experience to the Project Executive position, with extensive background on several large-scale projects throughout New England. He joined the Consigli team in 2007, and is responsible for all aspects of project team management.
Throughout his career, Jim has been responsible for managing some of Boston’s largest projects. He oversaw the construction of the InterContinental Hotel and Luxury Condominiums, a $200 million, 43-story five-star hotel on the waterfront, as well as the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, a 1.2 million sq. ft. facility that required managing a peak workforce of 800 trade members and addressing several plan changes while still opening on time and on budget.
Jim’s skills in design and construction are complemented by his license as a Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

MATTHEW CONSIGLI
VICE PRESIDENT
Growing up in the business started by his great-grandfather in 1905, Matthew shares day-to-day responsibility for the organization with his brother Anthony. He has spearheaded the development of the company's operations, safety, environmental, and training programs that have garnered awards and recognition on both national and local levels. He is also actively involved in the company’s strategic planning and business development efforts.
Matthew is an active member of the Young Contractors Council for the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts, previously serving as the group’s Chairman. He is also a member of the organization’s Labor Relations Committee. He is a longstanding associate of the Worcester Young Businessman’s Association and is a volunteer for the Red Cross of Central Massachusetts. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for Mechanics Hall, the leading performing arts facility in Worcester.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University, an Associate degree in Construction Management from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Babson College.

J. SCOTT LERNER
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE/
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Scott came to Consigli in 1997 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Bringing 20 years of construction experience to the company, he oversees all aspects of accounting and financial management.
Scott played a leading role in establishing the Consigli Foundation in 2001 to provide needed support to local charities and organizations. Under his leadership, the Foundation has contributed to both local and national organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the March of Dimes.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO). He is also involved in the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) of Massachusetts where he previously served as the group’s President and currently resides on the Board of Directors for the organization. Scott is an active member of the faculty of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts’ Young Contractors Professional Institute.
A graduate of Southeastern University, Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Mike received LEED accreditation from the USGBC and has been involved in several LEED-registered projects. He has also been involved in some of the Boston area’s largest construction projects, including One Financial Plaza, the Ritz Carlton, and One Memorial Drive in Cambridge.
He is a member of the Eastern Region Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers (ERAPPA) as well as the Massachusetts Building Congress. He is also a volunteer coach for youth sports organizations in Sturbridge, Mass.
Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

VANCE FREYMANN
DIRECTOR OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
As Director of Project Development, Vance oversees the company’s business development and marketing efforts. He has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry. Since joining the organization in 2001, he has helped to expand Consigli’s volume in key institutional markets.
He is co-founder and Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the ACE Mentor Program of Rhode Island. Vance also sits on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for the Providence Preservation Society and participates on several of the organization’s committees. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Department of Applied Social Sciences at Boston University.
Vance received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Northwestern University and a Master of Arts in Urban Affairs and Planning from Boston University.

PETER CAPONE
PURCHASING MANAGER
Peter has been a member of Consigli since 2000. As the purchasing manager, his primary focus is to oversee the company’s centralized procurement of subcontracts and materials.
Peter has developed standardized procedures for Consigli’s purchasing department, coordinating a project descope process carried out with all subcontractors. He also has played a key role in establishing a formal pre-qualification of subcontractors and vendors, and standard subcontract and material agreements. Peter is directly responsible for the total buyout of all projects completed by Consigli.
He is a long-time associate of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts.
Peter has Bachelor of Science and Arts degrees in Finance and Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

DAVE CURRY
DIRECTOR OF ESTIMATING
During his twenty-four years in the construction industry, Dave has worn several hats including estimator, field engineer, project manager, and project executive.
Dave joined Consigli in 2004 as Director of Estimating. He oversees a staff of five in compiling bids and estimates, and also directs the company’s pre-construction budgeting. He has led the company’s efforts in the recent integration of accounting, estimating, and project management systems through the implementation of Timberline software.
Dave is a member of the Associated Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts and volunteers as a coach for area youth sports groups.
He is a graduate of Clarkson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

MIKE HASELTINE
GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT
Mike, a member of Consigli since 2001, heads the company’s superintendent and field trade workforce.
As General Superintendent, he has helped shape the company’s safety and quality plans, ensuring best practices on all job sites. Through his leadership, Consigli has won a number of safety awards and attained the Blue Level of the Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE) program created by OSHA and the Associated General Contractors (AGC).
Mike holds a Massachusetts Builders License and is a member of the AGC.
He attended Cornell University, graduating with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering / Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

GREGORY BURNS
VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSTRUCTION
Greg joined Consigli in 1995. In 2005, Greg assumed the role of Vice President of Construction, responsible for the activities of the company’s project management staff.
Greg has been involved in projects at leading educational and medical institutions including Clark University, Harvard University, Wellesley College and Milford Regional Medical Center. In 2000, he managed the company’s first formal partnering agreement with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the construction of a new $15 million campus recreation center at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. That effort resulted in the project team being honored by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America with the Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award. Greg is also LEED accredited through the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
Outside of Consigli, Greg is an active member of the AGC and volunteers his time as a coach for local youth sports organizations.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

JAMES DIGIORNO
PROJECT EXECUTIVE
Jim has over twenty years of experience in the construction management industry throughout New England. He has been a member of the Consigli team since 2000, serving as Project Executive on corporate, healthcare and institutional projects.
Jim helped to establish Consigli’s Portland office heading up projects for the Veterans Administration’s Togus Medical Center, the Department of the Army, Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve, and the University of Southern Maine.
Jim has a Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License and is a member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts. In addition, he is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE).
A graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction Technology.
Todd has played a key role in developing Consigli’s professional development program for employees and its orientation process for new hires.
He is an active member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts and the Green Roundtable.
Todd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
A leader in environmental stewardship, John heads Consigli’s waste reduction initiatives. In 2001 he helped to develop a program in conjunction with the state as a pilot study for proposed legislation requiring the recycling of construction debris. He established the company’s environmental protection committee and enforces the firm’s policy of waste recycling on all job sites.
He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), the Worcester Young Businessmen’s Association, and an affiliate of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Massachusetts, serving on their Environmental Interest Group.
John graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and is currently an MBA candidate at the school.
A Maine native, Rice is a graduate of the University of Maine, Orono and holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a B.A. degree in Economics. He resides in North Yarmouth.
Matt’s skill as Project Executive is complemented by his background in structural engineering and quality control standards. He worked for a number of years as a designer before moving to construction management. A registered engineer in Massachusetts and Maine, Tonello holds a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine and holds an MBA from Boston University.
Jeff has played an integral role in several significant projects, including residence hall improvements at Framingham State College and Wellesley College, as well as the ground-up construction of a sustainable art and science center at the Cambridge School of Weston. Jeff has also facilitated fast-track projects for corporate clients, including the new headquarters for the Holmes Group.
In addition to introducing and teaching pre-construction and closeout requirements, Jeff is heavily involved in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new employees. He holds licenses as a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor and a Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer. Jeff is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science/Civil Engineering degree.
