To plan and train for future missions, the Army Corps of Engineers’ operations in Ceiba, Puerto Rico underwent a significant expansion for the Army Reserve and the Puerto Rico National Guard.
- Work included a new 43,000 sq. ft. Armed Forces Reserve Training Center, 10,000 sq. ft. vehicle maintenance shop, and 5,400 sq. ft. unheated storage building as well as organizational parking and building information systems.
- The design/build team of Consigli and SMRT developed unique components to protect structures from potential hurricanes and storm surges.
- The project is designed and constructed to meet LEED Gold Certification.
