Consigli Announces its Twentieth LEED AP
Latest accreditation adds to “green” resources

Milford, MA –March 21, 2008 – Mary Bulso, project engineer, successfully passed a challenging exam to become a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional (AP), making her the twentieth member of Consigli’s project management department to do so.

Consigli provides training to take the LEED exam to any interested employees, just one of the many programs offered through Consigli Construction University, and covers all expenses related to the exam. Over the past few weeks, Consigli employees across a variety of positions, from M/E/P coordinators to project executives, have earned their LEED accreditation.

LEED AP’s are expected to have a thorough understanding of green building practices, and must posses the following knowledge: building industry knowledge and tenure in green building; familiarity with documentation process for LEED project; knowledge of LEED credit intents, requirements, submittals, technologies and strategies within your discipline; practical experience working with multiple design disciplines; understanding of life-cycle costs and benefits of LEED; familiarity with LEED resources and processes.

Consigli, a leader in environmental construction, currently has close to twenty LEED projects either certified or registered and awaiting certification, including several SPiRiT (the Army’s version of LEED) projects. Among them are the LEED Platinum certified Harvard Blackstone Office renovation and LEED Gold certified Lasry Center for Bioscience at Clark University in Worcester.
