| May 19, 2008 Consigli Completes Portland Sea Dogs Clubhouse, Training Facilities New space and surfaces gives team more room for storage and training Portland, ME – May 19, 2008 – The Portland office of Consigli Construction Co., Inc. has recently completed the new clubhouse and training facilities for the Portland Sea Dogs, an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, in time for the kick-off of the 2008 season. Construction began after an exhaustive pre-construction process that included estimating, logistics planning, scheduling, and construction management services. The new structure is located on a tight site directly underneath the right field grandstand and allows the team to move from their formerly off-site home at the Portland Exposition Building. Consigli built and fit out new office space for management personnel, as well as a new weight training room and cardio fitness area for athletes. Other interior upgrades include a new locker room and updated shower and bathroom facilities. Thanks to Consigli’s extensive in-house resources of specialized craftsworkers, nearly 20% of the project was self-performed, including site demolition, concrete work and all rough carpentry. In addition to the clubhouse, the project also included a new elevated batting cage and bullpen overlooking right field. For further information contact:
