November 6, 2009 The nomination as one of the state’s best places to work is rooted in a comprehensive survey system that asks employees to evaluate their experience working with a particular employer. Submitted anonymously, employees are given the opportunity to offer feedback on company leadership, benefits package, advancement opportunities and community engagement. The assessment process, administered by Best Companies Group and Modern Think LLC, marks an important step to recognize and encourage excellence throughout all Maine businesses. This represents the third consecutive year that Consigli has received this honor the small-sized businesses category. “This is an honor that we strive to achieve through providing the best training, opportunities and environment for our employees,” said Matt Tonello, Consigli area manager for Maine. “Our employees are from Maine, and we want to make working in Maine as rewarding for them as possible.” The annual campaign, created by the Society for Human Resource Management’s Maine State Council in conjunction with the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, the Maine Department of Labor, the Maine Job Council, Maine Biz, The Employment Times and Best Companies Group ranks Maine’s best companies in two size categories: small and medium-sized (15-249 employees) and large-sized (250 employees or more).
