Garthwaite Center for Science and Art
Cambridge School of Weston

After completing multiple projects in the previous year, Cambridge School of Weston asked Consigli and its project team to return to the school and help build their new 22,000 sq. ft. Science and Art Gallery Building. The building will include classrooms, galleries to showcase art, community gathering spaces for events, and science labs and will serve as the hub for computer network systems.

Green building elements of the project include a pellet hopper and boiler, composting toilets, leach fields, green roof, a groundwater recharge system, radiant floor heating, timber framing structure, FSC wood, recycled glass tile, bamboo flooring, heat recovery wheel, triple glazed windows, reusing blasted ledge for steps, stairs, retaining walls, and light sensors.

During the three months of pre-construction Consigli made over $800,000 in accepted Value Management suggestions.
