ER Renovation & Expansion
MetroWest Medical Center

The MetroWest Medical Center Emergency Room project was a three-phase renovation and expansion program to upgrade ED operations and capacity. Within the existing ED approximately 8,000 sq. ft. of space was renovated while a new addition of roughly 5,000 sq. ft. expanded the department. Renovations to the Inpatient and Outpatient Admitting areas totaling approximately 5,000 sq. ft. are also being planned.

The work took place within an already overcrowded emergency department. It also put construction immediately adjacent to the main hospital entrance. Phasing options and means of reducing overall schedule were critical.
