Repository Addition
The Jackson Laboratory

The new Repository addition at Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, serves as a connecter for two research facilities containing laboratory and common areas. The new structure, built by Consigli in collaboration with design team Roc Caivano and SMRT Architects, was constructed within an occupied laboratory environment where noise, vibration and any other disturbances are unacceptable due to ongoing experiments.

With facilities in Bar Harbor, Maine, and West Sacramento, Calif., the Laboratory is also the world's source for nearly 3,000 strains of genetically defined mice, home of the Mouse Genome Database and many other publicly available information resources, and an international hub for scientific courses, conferences, training and education.
