The R & D division of NYPRO Corporation hired Consigli to renovate a historic 75-year-old former post office located in Clinton, MA. The 9,000 sq. ft. building now serves as Radius’ corporate headquarters. Work began in November and was completed by July. Key to the project are Consigli’s in-house trades people, who self-performed the demolition which required painstakingly removing a cement based plaster from walls and ceilings of the existing structure. Not all of the material was to be removed which made the process challenging. Consigli also manually dug the elevator pit due to restrictions getting into the basement area with appropriate equipment. Rough carpentry was also completed in house as was the form work and some masonry components.
