- Work occurred within an occupied biopharmaceutical company
- Noise reduction and mitigation procedures were necessary to minimize disruption within a sensitive environment
- Installation of high-end cGMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
AbbVie, a global pharmaceutical company, embarked on a 4,200 sq. ft. renovation that involved the reconfiguration of a two-level bioresearch suite.
Modifications included segregating floors by removing vertical circulation and filling existing stair and tank vessel openings. Three segregated production areas for fermentation and purification were constructed to meet ISO 8 and ISO 7 clean room standards. The project also included the fit-out of an existing storage room on the fourth floor of the production facility to create a new ISO 7 Inoculum room. Utility panels to serve the bioreactors were installed supplying PCHW, USP purified water, WFI, clean steam, IA, PA, N, O, CO2 and process waste.
