From the start, Consigli embraced our campus as if it were their own and within days after mobilization, many of our staff members knew the project team by their first name—and vice versa. The level of involvement was truly refreshing to see and it helped our students realize that they were not just the end-users but also the stakeholders in this project.
- Extremely aggressive 16-month schedule to support launch of new performing arts program
- Non-negotiable budget established based on the school’s fundraising efforts
- Need to tie new utilities into existing infrastructure without interruption in service
The Cultural Center at Eagle Hill is a unique facility that brings together Eagle Hill students and local artists to produce exhibits and performances enjoyed by the Hardwick, MA community. Serving as the architectural and programmatic introduction to the Eagle Hill School campus, the project was a high-profile endeavor for both the school and the project team.
The new complex houses the Abby Theater, a 463-seat performing arts theater with a cinema-quality production system; and the Kresge Studio Theater, an incredibly flexible space that features portable risers, a grid theatrical lighting system and catwalks on all walls that can be used for technical or theatrical purposes. The center also includes a 250-seat dining and function hall, gallery, classrooms, studio spaces, a recording studio, wood shop and an outdoor amphitheater.
