Project: Biotechnology Company Interiors
Location: Cambridge, MA
An innovative approach to providing advanced tenant fit-out flexibility enabled Epizyme, a leader in the creation of personalized therapeutics for the treatment of genetically-defined cancer, the specialized space it needed for the growing biotech company.
- This 12,800 sq. ft. fast-track interior included the installation of new laboratory casework, fume hoods, RAD labs with associated advanced HVAC requirements and the installation of office spaces with demountable glass partitions.
- A pilot program of the Universal Flex Lab concept pioneered by Biomed Realty Trust, Inc. which accommodates multiple laboratory and research tenants in one building was a perfect fit for Epizyme’s current needs.
- The space is constructed to respond to diverse research requirements through multi-use overhead service distribution systems, adaptable program spaces, re-configurable lab benches and flexible equipment.
