Harvard University

Project: Dance Center
Location: Cambridge, MA
Architect: Bruner/Cott Architects and Planners

By renovating a major section of Harvard’s Quadrangle Recreational Athletic Center (QRAC), the School for the Arts was able to provide its expanding Dance Program with appropriate spaces to offer diverse extracurricular dance courses, host performances and hold classes with visiting artists.

  • Program areas include a teaching studio, rehearsal studio, offices, and fully-equipped performance spaces with skylights, technical booth, climate control and green room.
  • A new geothermal well heating and cooling system supports Harvard’s sustainability goals.
  • This 35,429 sq. ft. renovation also involved the integration of a mezzanine for support functions.
