MILFORD, MA – Over 30 employees from Consigli Construction Co., Inc. joined Habitat for Humanity this week to help build houses for families in need in Auburn and Boston, Mass., and New Haven, Conn. as part of National Women Build Week, which runs from April 30 to May 8.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for women from our company to join together and help families in need in our communities,” said Amy Bowen, Director of Communications for Consigli.
In Boston, Consigli volunteers helped build two townhouse-style homes that are part of a new six-unit condominium powered by rooftop solar panels. In Auburn, volunteers worked on a two-family duplex for a family with five children and a single mother with two children. And, in New Haven, Conn. a team of Consigli volunteers worked together on building a single-family home.
“We are honored to help Habitat for Humanity affiliates in three New England communities by providing financial support from the Consigli Foundation in addition to supporting our employees in their participation in National Women Build Week,” said Consigli President, Matthew Consigli.
Habitat for Humanity invites women to devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing. This year, volunteers will build or repair homes for 650 families across the country during this week-long event.
Consigli maintains a commitment to supporting important charitable causes in the cities and towns that its employees live and work in. Additionally, the Consigli Foundation works to directly impact the health, education and well-being of disadvantaged children.
