HARTFORD, CT – Consigli Construction Co., Inc. and the Consigli Foundation recently partnered with Circle of Care, a Connecticut-based nonprofit that provides practical, emotional and financial assistance to the families of children with cancer, to perform a room makeover for a local teen undergoing cancer treatment.
For several weeks, Consigli volunteers worked closely with 13-year-old Elijah Randolph and his family to design a brand-new bedroom of his dreams to help support his physical, emotional and mental healing. After finalizing the design, members of the Consigli team transformed Elijah’s room – complete with UConn Huskies memorabilia and a new loft area – over the course of two weekends.
The Consigli volunteers who made Elijah’s room makeover possible were on hand to celebrate the big reveal with the Randolph Family and witness Elijah’s excitement firsthand.
“This team truly lived up to our motto of ‘Building Beyond Ourselves,’ and we received the seal of approval from our newest family member with a resounding, ‘it’s everything I wanted and more!’” – Carlos Vega, Consigli Business Development Manager
As part of its commitment to positively impacting the communities where its teams live and work, Consigli offers employees 24 paid volunteer hours to use annually so that they can give back to local causes and organizations like Circle of Care.
Circle of Care was established more than 20 years ago with the mission of supporting families navigating pediatric cancer diagnoses, and to date, has completed more than 180 room makeovers for local children. The Consigli Foundation has long been a supporter of Circle of Care, and Bill Allan, Consigli Regional Director – Hudson Valley, serves on the organization’s Board of Directors.
