Consigli Construction Announces Leadership Transition for New York Healthcare Operations

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Consigli Construction Co., Inc. today announced that Chuck Richmond will lead the company’s healthcare practice as Rich Steimel transitions to retirement.

Richmond will oversee Consigli’s New York healthcare operations, continuing the firm’s focus on delivering complex healthcare projects while maintaining the relationships and collaborative approach that have defined the team’s success.

The transition represents the continuation of a long-standing partnership between Steimel and Richmond, who have collaborated on leading and developing teams that build the region’s most significant healthcare projects in New York.

Richmond brings four decades of construction management experience and extensive expertise in healthcare and institutional projects throughout the New York metropolitan area. Richmond has led projects for organizations including NYU Langone Health, New York-Presbyterian, Northwell Health, Mount Sinai, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Cornell University, Weill Greenberg Center and Harlem Health Center.

Throughout his career, Richmond has successfully managed highly technical projects in active healthcare environments, helping clients modernize facilities, expand access to care and deliver innovative patient-centered environments.

“Rich has been at the heart of our healthcare business for decades. He has built lasting relationships with clients, helped deliver some of the region’s most complex healthcare projects, and dedicated himself to developing the people around him. His contributions to our team, our clients and the healthcare industry have been extraordinary,” said Steven Sommer, Regional Director – NYC Metro. “As Rich begins his well-earned retirement, we’re fortunate to have Chuck stepping into this role. Chuck is a highly respected leader with deep healthcare expertise and decades of experience. Having worked alongside Rich for more than 32 years, he is uniquely positioned to build on that work and provide continuity for both our team and our clients.”

“It has been a privilege to work in this industry and with so many talented people over the years,” said Rich Steimel, retiring Operations Director. “Few people know our clients, our projects and our team better than Chuck. More importantly, he understands the relationships that have been built over many years and the responsibility that comes with them. Chuck and this exceptional team will continue to support our clients with the same care, dedication, and partnership that have always defined our work.”
