Consigli Construction Co. Inc., a building industry leader headquartered in Milford, Mass., is donating $100,000 to Wentworth Institute of Technology to help renovate the campus library and to bolster academic and career initiatives.
Wentworth President Zorica Pantić said the Consigli gift will support:
- A major renovation of the library and its transformation into the Douglas D. Schumann Library & Learning Commons;
- The Women at Wentworth program, an annual event created to encourage young women to pursue careers in the construction industry and STEM-related fields;
- The annual President’s Cup Challenge golf tournament, proceeds of which are earmarked for scholarships and other priorities at Wentworth.
“This contribution is very important to our entire community,” said Pantić. “Consigli’s support demonstrates its commitment to the education and career success of our students.”
“Several key members of our team are Wentworth graduates, so every day we witness firsthand the high-quality education and real-world preparation they receive for an industry that is constantly evolving,” said the company’s president, Matthew Consigli. “We are proud to make this donation to further support the mission of this world-class institution, and to develop building industry professionals who will have a lasting impact on the communities they serve— especially through the Women at Wentworth program and library renovation.”
