MILFORD, MA – Over 35 Consigli Construction Co., Inc. employees joined hundreds of volunteers to participate in Working for Worcester’s build day of service event on Saturday, April 29 to help transform urban areas throughout Greater Worcester into recreation spaces where children can learn, play and grow.
For the past five years, Consigli volunteers have donated their time and expertise on projects ranging from the cleanup and rebuild of neighborhood playgrounds to community gardens. This year, our team—dispersed between nine different sites—were instrumental in completing three playgrounds, basketball courts, a gaga ball (a kinder and gentler form of dodgeball) pit, two STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) rooms and an outdoor learning center.
“Consigli’s investment in the Greater Worcester community is very important to us. Our service work with Working for Worcester is extremely rewarding in that it gives us the opportunity to contribute our time and skills to make a difference in the lives of others,” said Steve Gentilucci, General Superintendent for Consigli.
Jeffrey Reppucci, Co-Founder of Working for Worcester said, “With the tremendous financial support, with the incredible in-kind expert support, Consigli is one of our most critical partners and we are just so grateful.”
In addition to its volunteers, Consigli is proud to have supported Working for Worcester with financial contributions through its Consigli Foundation, which works to directly impact the health, education and well-being of disadvantaged children and maintains a commitment to supporting important charitable causes in the cities and towns that its employees live and work in.
