BOSTON, MA – At an event at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Samberg Conference Center in the Morris & Sophie Chang Building, the Consigli Foundation presented a check to the Cambridge Family and Children’s Service for $25,000.
The Cambridge Family and Children’s Service provides adoption planning and case management services for children and teens in the custody of the Department of Children and Families. This important organization helps to build and support families, helping children most in need with new, loving homes.
Through the Consigli Foundation, established in 2001, the company works to directly impact the health, education and well-being of disadvantaged children by contributing to the cities and towns that it works in not only to make a better today, but a better tomorrow.
The new Samberg Conference Center at MIT was built by Consigli. The project featured a gut interior renovation with new M/E/P systems and structural infill to accommodate the redesigned interior spaces, as well as a vertical addition to house the Faculty Club and conference areas. The project is LEED Gold certified and includes a full window replacement, energy-efficient systems and the introduction of natural daylight within the interior of the building.
