NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Consigli Construction Co., Inc. today announced that Al Martino has been named Regional Director – NJ/PA. In his new role, Martino will lead the firm’s regional operations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, overseeing client relationships, business development and people management.
An industry leader with demonstrated expertise in life sciences and pharmaceutical manufacturing markets, Martino brings over 25 years of wide-ranging local ownership experience in the delivery, engineering and asset management of complex facilities and programs for global clients. He is well-versed in navigating stringent compliance standards and mitigating risk – while maintaining operational excellence – within highly regulated environments.
“Al’s deep knowledge of the regional life sciences community and his firsthand understanding of what owners and clients need from their construction partners will be instrumental in supporting Consigli’s continued growth across the local market,” said Laura Bush, Regional Director – NYC Metro & NJ/PA. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our team in New Jersey, and we look forward to the positive impact that his leadership will undoubtedly make on our people, projects and relationships.”
Most recently serving as the Director of Site Planning, Strategy & Controls at Roche, Martino has previously led project management and strategic operations for notable life sciences clients, including Nestle Health Sciences and Merck.
Equipped with an owner’s perspective on the building and operating of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) facilities, Martino will deepen Consigli’s in-house resources for its new and existing clients. Additionally, he will further bolster Consigli’s life sciences and pharmaceutical manufacturing practices companywide, providing expertise and strategic guidance to support the firm’s growing national portfolio.
“Consigli’s strong culture and its people-first values, combined with its extensive experience leading some of the region’s most challenging projects, was a natural fit,” said Al Martino. “I am grateful for the opportunity to join this tremendous team of genuine builders, and I look forward to supporting Consigli’s continued growth and success.”
Martino earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds a graduate certificate in pharmaceutical manufacturing from the Stevens Institute of Technology.
An active member of the local business community, Martino previously served on the Gateway Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, as well as on its Executive Board. Additionally, he is a longtime supporter of Cherished Creations, a local nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of seriously ill children, and of Special Olympics New Jersey, including as a partner in its Unified Sports program.
A New Jersey Native, Martino lives in Bridgewater with his family.
