Passionately driven by a commitment to the arts, the environment, service and student life, Iona University transformed an unused parking lot into a central meeting place for the community. The project included a 35,000 sq. ft. new green space in the heart of campus, transforming a parking circle into a lively outdoor landscape where students can enjoy a variety of social, recreational, academic and artistic activities. The space will also include seating built into the hillside, which will provide a dramatic setting for outdoor performances, poetry readings and outdoor classes.
