Consigli Named a 2020 Best Place to Work in Maine!

PORTLAND, ME – Consigli Construction Co., Inc. has been named a 2020 Best Places to Work in Maine, ranking #2 in the Large Firm category for the year. 2020 marks the 14th consecutive year that Consigli has been recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management- Maine State council (MESHRM) and Best Companies Group. The statewide survey and awards program honor the best places of employment in Maine, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce, and businesses.

The annual program recognizes companies that have established and consistently fostered outstanding workplace environments. Consigli has also been named “Top Place to Work” in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe for ten consecutive years, and its offices in Connecticut, New York, and Washington DC have also been recognized as a Best Place to Work. Consigli is honored to achieve this award.

In addition to fostering a great company culture, we are working on some top-notch projects that will impact Maine’s economy and community including:

  • The University of Maine’s Ferland Engineering Education & Design Center, a new 107,000 sq. ft. multi-use academic and laboratory building, will house the University’s Biomedical Engineering Program, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and a teaching laboratory for Mechanical Engineering Technology. The state-of-the-art facility will feature teaching spaces, laboratories, collaborative areas and public spaces designed to support hands-on, team-based learning for students from multiple engineering disciplines to collaborate on design projects.
  • Mercy Hospital’s Fore River Expansion will provide 55,000 sq. ft. of additional space for expanded services including a new Emergency Department, Behavioral Health Unit, inpatient and outpatient spaces, patient rooms and imaging areas. The four-story addition required extensive Master Planning during the pre-construction phase and is now being managed in phases, simultaneously with other large improvement projects on the active and occupied hospital campus.
  • Portland Foreside is undergoing major development for an upgraded waterfront neighborhood in the heart of Portland. The multi-block project features historic restoration, adaptive reuse and new construction work including Portland’s first true Class A office building, residential units, retail space, a precast parking garage and more.
