Project Overview

  • Renovation of existing shell space within a cGMP facility
  • Installation of an interior air handler to serve the ISO 7 lab
  • Validation support for the IOQ protocols

Baxalta required a new QC-Raw Material Sampling lab to support their new cGMP facility expansion. Previously a shell space, the lab was fit-out to support this need. The project included the installation of an interior air handler that serves the area independently from the rest of the building and is suspended from the roof deck and circulates air to the space through ceiling-mounted hepa filters.

The lab now hosts new furnishings and equipment, such as a floor-mounted drum pass-through, a ceiling laminar flow hood, workstations and gowning benches. The project’s finishes include new gel-molded FRP doors, resinous flooring system, LED lighting and access control equipment. Modifications were made to the qualified building management system to support cGMP requirements.
