Union College, a 130-acre campus in upstate New York, is home to over 2,200 students. The Reamer Auditorium, located within the Reamer Campus center, is the epicenter of student life on campus and is utilized for seminars and meeting space for special events. The space has undergone a significant transformation following a broken sprinkler main that flooded the northwest section of the building, causing extensive damage.

The 3,000 sq. ft. renovation project involved a collaborative effort between the Union College’s facilities team, Envision Architects and the insurance agency, aimed to restore the auditorium while adhering to the insurance budget. Through a series of redesigns during pre-construction, the project successfully expanded the stage, incorporated structural steel for a new guardrail system, and installed a wheelchair lift, ensuring full ADA accessibility. Attention to detail was paramount, with intricate millwork design and installing state-of-the-art acoustical treatments and AV systems. The Reamer Auditorium now boasts new flooring, seating, lighting, a refreshed ceiling, ADA accommodations, and enhanced acoustical treatments, ready to welcome students and visitors to a revitalized cultural and academic hub on campus. Consigli delivered the space over a week early with continuous collaboration across all the project stakeholders, meeting the accelerated schedule timeline.
