The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University is a joint concept between the university and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, inspired by the agora of ancient Athens–a public space for assembly and discussion. SNF Agora will serve as an academic and public forum, encouraging conversation on modern democratic issues and challenging students and faculty to experiment with real-world strategies to strengthen civic dialogue.

New construction of approximately 61,000 sq. ft. interdisciplinary academic and public forum committed to strengthening global democracy. The glass façade and precast concrete building includes faculty offices, labs, graduate student spaces, classrooms, flexible meeting space, and a multifunctional room for conferences and events providing a technology-rich, transparent and collaborative work environment. Designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop in collaboration with Ayers Saint Gross, the building will be LEED certified and landscaped to reflect the natural environment of the mid-Atlantic region.
