Project Overview

- Careful restoration of facility to maintain its historical integrity
- Full interior upgrades including new infrastructure systems
Subject to severe interior damages as a direct result of Hurricane Maria in 2017, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Antilles Office required renovations to restore the historic structure. The design-build major restoration and infrastructure improvement included the renovation of four floors of interior office space and restrooms, as well as necessary ADA upgrades.
New features include east and west stair towers, an elevator, a new gym, refreshed furniture and new holding cells. Required upgrades involved the installation of a new fire sprinkler system, HVAC system and electrical system and fixtures.
