To improve access to care for patients, Mass General Brigham opened a three-story, state-of-the-art integrated care center at Tuscan Village to allow patients to receive care all in one place, providing both primary care and specialty treatment. The facility houses four operating rooms designed for high quality outpatient surgical care, a central processing department, PACU bays, 31 exam rooms, physical therapy clinic and audiology services, as well as a state-of-art radiology suite that contains two MRIs, two x-rays, CT and mammography.
Pre-fabrication was a major point of emphasis for the project, including the use of off-site headwall construction, pre-fabricated façade assemblies, demountable exam room walls and numerous M/E/P system components.
In line with Mass General Brigham’s commitment to sustainability, the Center features a high-performance building envelope, efficient heating and cooling systems and highest efficiency light figures.
